Thru-Hiker

 Today for the most part was pretty good. We started off the class with our daily Rhetorical Devices. The devices for today was rhetorical questions.  After we discussed that, we started to talk about thru-hikers. I have learned a lot of new things about thru-hikers. To finish off the class, we started to read our book," Wild."

Hiking

 Happy New Years! It’s 2023, new year and new beginnings. Today in class started off about discuss our new book,” Wild.” To start it off, we had an open discussion about hiking. Then we named 10 items that are important for hiking.

Bell Ringer: 1/9/23

 Hyperbole: 1.)  She was so smart that she would win every Spelling Bee.                     2.) The food is so nasty that I wouldn't even feed it to my cat. Hypophora: 1.) How would we save the world? By making a plan.                     2.) How did you become so successful? Lots of studying and practicing. Understatement: 1.) Many people aren't as tall as they seem.                            2.) His hair isn't as bad as it seems from a distance.

Reflection

There are many different ways that I can improve as a student. A key way can be that I should study more, when it comes to testing. In 2022, I tend not to be as organized as I would like and this year I want to change that. The previous semester, my teacher actually helped me in a very big way. 

Testing Strategies

 Today in class, many different events took place. We started off the class by talking about what's coming up soon. This Wednesday, we will be completing the Georgia Milestones for American Lit. So to keep us prepared for the test, we looked over so test-taking strategies. After we reviewed the strategies, we had to complete a 3-2-1 about dealing with stress as human beings.
