Rhetorical Appeal

Today, we learned about the 3 rhetorical appeals ( logos, pathos, and ethos). Mr. Rease proposed to the class the option of having a free Friday. The appeal in pathos is: having a free Friday, could help make us feel happier. The appeal in logos is: articles have showed that a break, can increase students focus in class. The appeal in ethos is: teachers in the past, have gave a us a free day to take a break. If I had to rate my day, I would say a 10.

Movie

Today is the November 3, and a lot took place. We started off the class with our vocabulary test. The test was pretty good because it was photos. Next, we continued the book from the yesterday. We finished off the class, with clips of the film.

Bell Ringer: 1/9/23

Hyperbole: 1.)  She was so smart that she would win every Spelling Bee.                     2.) The food is so nasty that I wouldn't even feed it to my cat. Hypophora: 1.) How would we save the world? By making a plan.                     2.) How did you become so successful? Lots of studying and practicing. Understatement: 1.) Many people aren't as tall as they seem.                            2.) His hair isn't as bad as it seems from a distance.

Response

Today on August 30, 2022, we did some learning in class. As normally, we started off with a new bell ringer. This bell ringer was about love life and if we have been heart broken. I never had an actual relationship before. After the bell ringer, we read a new poem from Emily Dickinson. This particular poem, was mainly about hear break and getting over a lost one. Therefore, I look forward to learn more about Emily Dickinson.
